Overcoming barriers

Overcoming barriers

Barriers such as a wheelchair, guard rail, or – the biggest barrier of all – self doubt did not prevent this wheelchair-bound man from showing up, reeling in, and spending the day fishing. This man’s tenacity and unwillingness to be limited by his barriers humbled me, when I was traveling through an island off South Korea with a bunch of girlfriends and spotted him.

Barriers were meant to be overcome. What’s holding you back? What’s your excuse? Is it the same as mine? There’s no time like the present to take the first step in overcoming YOUR barriers.

I suffer the same; but by surrounding myself with people who encourage, inspire and motivate, that little voice of self doubt is sometimes hard to hear. 🙂
