About me and use of my content

After leading a nomadic life living, traveling, and working in over 250 cities in almost 50 different nations, a new chapter of my life has started in Frankfurt, Germany.

I know where I have been, but the future is uncertain, and I am unsure where I am going. Certainly it will be an experience, and one that I hope to remember when I am older and, hopefully, wiser.  As Anais Nin opined, “We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.”

My love for eating and taking photos of my meals started when I was living and working in Japan many years ago.  Now instead of a camera, I use my Iphone, which has thousands of food photos I don’t know what to do with, except to email to friends when they ask for restaurant recommendations.  So, my husband suggested that I start a blog to capture the good restaurants and places I have been.  It will take me a lifetime to write about everything I have eaten and experienced so far, especially because I have new places I am discovering every day.  But, I must start somewhere.  Thus, http://mishegoesplaces.wordpress.com/ is my attempt to document those memorable meals and places of my past.

Unless otherwise specified or credited, all photos and content on my blog are my own unique views, creations, and property. If you enjoy my content and want to use or share it – thank you! But please be kind and considerate by emailing me or by referencing where you found it.

And again, welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy sharing along with the journey.

  1. Hi Mishe
We’ve talked on chow before, when you gave me advice about Frankfurt. I’ve just moved to the city and was wondering if you’d be interested in meeting up. Abby

    • Hi Abby,
Sorry for the delay in responding to your post. I have been offline for the past several months. I would have loved to meet up with you. I remember you from chow and recall that you were relocating from the UK. Well, as if by some strange twist of reverse coincidence, I have just relocated to London. How strange is that? If you have any plans to visit London, please let me know. I would love to meet up with you here. If you have any questions about Frankfurt, feel free to ask me. I don’t feign to know much but what little I do know, I am more than happy to share.
